Job DescriptionMerchandiser/Fixture Installer/Carpenters and SupervisorsAsa Carlton, Inc., a commercial construction company headquartered in Buford, Georgia, is seeking qualified applicants for Merchandiser/ Fixture Installer/Carpenters and Supervisors. These are traveling positions with assignments primarily located throughout the Southeastern United States.We are looking for individuals with a strong attention to detail to join our growing team. These positions are responsible for showcasing products at our client & retail locations by building and maintaining attractive displays.Depending on experience, we pay $12-$16 per hour for Merchandiser/Fixture Installers, $13-$18 for Carpenters and $16-$20 for Foreman as a starting wage range depending upon experience. Foremen may also qualify for bonuses depending upon the success of their projects. If you qualify, a $100/day non-taxable per diem will be paid to cover your mileage/food/accommodations for every day out of town on assignment. We work at night from 9pm to 6am, Monday night through Friday nights. In order to qualify, you must have a valid drivers license, your own reliable transportation, an acceptable background check and pass a pre-employment drug screen.Primary responsibilities include:Reset Activity, Shelf Conditions and Schematics Completion.Implement customer approved schematics/Plan-O-Grams/MODs with all items tagged and approved by store management.Detail receive all fixtures identifying missing fixtures.Must be able to take direction regarding tagging, rotating and placing products on shelf.Installs (set and build).Resets (read and understand plan-o-grams).Signage placements.Administration/Reporting: Will complete (web-based) accurate and timely reporting, recaps, timesheets, expense reports, etc.Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Prior construction experience is preferred. Applicants with previous retail experience is helpful. Experience desired includes - home improvement stores, big box retail, pharmacy, planograms, national rollouts, remodel, gondola, new stores and experience with national racking standard. Must have strong self-management skills. Must have the ability to complete daily procedures and responsibilities without direct supervision. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both internally to Asa Carlton management and externally with Customers. Must demonstrate good judgment and show respect for others. Must have the ability to push, pull, and lift material up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that involve stooping, walking, bending, searching for items and standing for periods of time. Must own, have the knowledge of and the ability to use hand tools including power tools. Must be able to travel to any US work location but primarily in the southeastern US. As an Asa Carlton team member, you can expect to be on the road for up to 3-4 weeks at a time depending on project work schedules. You can expect to be on each job site usually for roughly 1-2 weeks at a time before moving on to the next assignment. We do our best to get our team members home depending on project schedules usually once a month. Must be able to work evenings and weekends and be out of town for extended periods of time occasionally if the work requires. Your normal work schedule is usually set for 5 nights a week starting at 9pm and getting off at 6am, Monday through Friday nights. Must have reliable transportation, a valid drivers license, and be able to pass drug and background screenings.Asa Carlton offers competitive wages and benefit plans.
