Summary Assists in Directing production and distribution for Molding Department, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Coordinates production, distribution, and warehousing activities in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by the Production Supervisor.

  • Implements plan for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.

  • Ensures implementation and enforcement all EHS and regulatory programs within the assigned facility.

  • Production Planning:

    • Provide input to Production Supervisor.

    • Evaluate plan and schedule manning for schedule attainment.

  • Hold "Huddle Meetings: at the beginning of the shift.

  • Provide attendance documentation to HR department.

  • Raw and WIP inventory management.

  • Production reporting - Production attainment/performance.

  • Perform press and welder set-ups in accordance with applicable work instructions

    • Review post-processing instructions.

    • Review part assembly drawings.

    • Review BOM at each workstation.

  • Process, and new product development and improvement projects as assigned.

  • Employee Training.

  • Assist Mold Tech as needed on mold, material and welder changes as well as trouble shooting presses and welders.

  • Perform press setups on Hardbaits and Soft Plastics.

  • Maintain production reporting on all KPI Production Boards.

  • Strive to find ways to increase production efficiency and reduce scrap/reject rates.

  • Make sure all employees are aware of the expected output standards.

  • Expectations: Be at work 15 minutes before their shift starts. There may be special circumstances that will require them to be earlier. If you are unable to be at work 15 minutes before the shift starts you must contact the supervisor on duty or the Production Supervisor. Meet with the previous shift supervisor or Production Supervisor to go over any barriers, problems or production changes that may need addressed.

    Supervisory Responsibilities: Assist in Directing 20 to 30 employees in the production. Manages 1 to 3 subordinate team leaders. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. (Supervisory responsibilities and plant staffing vary at each location, based on plant size.) Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
